We offer a package of Talents Program for different talents. On entering one of the following programs, we will accordingly provide you with research funds, equipment, daily expenses and fees for international academic exchanges. We will also provide support in terms of salaries, housing, offices, laboratories, research assistants and graduate students.

I. Program of A Hundred Young Talents in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
人文社科优秀青年学者百人计划
. Eligibility
This program aims at recruiting excellent talents who are under 45 and have a doctorate from renowned international universities or research institutes. The applicants should be top-notch talents in the field of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences or related disciplines. On entering this program, they shall be full-time researchers in Sichuan University.
The talents when employed can choose either the negotiated annual salary system or the regular public institution system.
. Startup Research Fund
In either of the above systems, the talents will be offered a start-up research fund within the range of RMB100,000 to 500,000.
. Pay scale
The whole salary package is within the range of RMB150,000 to 300,000 or more depending on the academic capability of the talents. The pay scale for the regular public institution system is equivalent to that of a full-time teacher in Sichuan University.
II. Special Program for Young Researchers 特聘研究员计划
. Eligibility
We are looking for excellent talents who are under 35 and have a doctorate from the top 100 international universities or research institutes (or of which the talent’s discipline ranking top 30 in the world).
Talents who are eligible for the National 1000 Young Talents Plan will be encouraged and supported to apply.
. Startup Research Fund and Pay Scale
In line with the talent's individual working and studying experiences and academic capability, we will entitle them researchers or associate researchers accordingly with a fix-term and non-renewable four-year contract under an negotiated annual salary pay scale within the range of RMB100,000 to 250,000, housing subsidies and insurance etc. included. They are also offered a startup research fund of RMB100,000 to 200,000. The talents can choose to enter other talents programs in Sichuan University based on their academic performance assessment.
III. Excellent Scholars Program
四川大学“卓越学者”计划
We are looking for eminent scholars from both home and abroad. These scholars may be academicians of China Academy of Sciences or China Academy of Engineering, elected experts of National 1000 Talents Plan, distinguished professors of Cheung Kong Scholars Program of China, grantees of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, National Eminent Teachers, or scholars working as professors or in equivalent positions in famous universities or research institutes. Scholars with a team that is willing to come and work in SCU would be preferred. On entering this program, they shall be full-time researchers in Sichuan University.
IV. Foreign Teachers Program 外籍教师聘任计划
This program aims at attracting two levels of teachers with a non-Chinese nationality. The foreign teachers can work full or part time under a 3- to 5-year contract at a fix or non-fix time each year (the working time at Sichuan University shall be no less than ONE month per year for part-time foreign teachers).
. High-end Foreign Teachers: 高端外籍教师
We are looking for Nobel Prize winners, academicians of National Academy of Science/Engineering in developed countries, or renowned professors in world-class universities or research institutes who are under 70 and in good health. We will provide each foreign teacher with a competitive salary, local insurance, fee for international travel and accommodation in Sichuan University, and a research assistant who is also a young full-time teacher in Sichuan University. Salary scale will be within the range of RMB400,000 to RMB1250,000 per year for full-time teachers and RMB30,000 to 100,000 per month for part-time teachers.
. General Foreign Teachers: 普通外籍教师
We are looking for foreign teachers who are under 65 and have a doctorate from the renowned international universities or research institutes with years of teaching or research experiences in university or research institutes. Salary scale will be within the range of RMB100,000 to 600,000 per year for full-time teachers and RMB10,000 to 54,000 per month for part-time teachers.

国家千人计划、青年千人计划背景介绍
In December, 2008, the General Office of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party announced to welcome outstanding talents back home to work, and thus the 1000 Talents Plan.
Sichuan University has benefited from the Plan, which introduced top scientists and promoted academic research and education in the University.
Eligibility for the Plan:
This plan mainly aims at recruiting two types of talents to do long-term and short-term research respectively.
A sub-program has also been running under the 1000 talents Plan for young researchers. The applicants should be under 40, have obtained a doctorate degree in world-famous universities or research institutes, and have no less than three years of working experience overseas.
